Is Scrolling Contributing to Your Sore Neck?

The neck is one of the most important parts of our body, because it supports all of our head weight. There are many reasons why neck pain can occur, including poor posture from interacting with our phones for hours each day and repetitive neck movements while working that cause muscle tightness or inflammation.

If you have neck pain then here are some simple things you can do to help relieve your pain:

-Exercise regularly

-Maintain good posture

-Use a heating pad for temporary relief ***

– Try a neck massage. A simple way to loosen up tension in your neck is to give yourself a neck massage. Apply pressure with your fingers and thumbs to the sides of your neck, working from the base of your skull all the way down to your shoulders. You can also use a golf ball or tennis ball for self-massage

– Warm neck compress

– Desk ergonomics

Another way to alleviate neck pain is to apply a warm neck compress. Fill the sink with hot water, then drape a towel over your shoulder and lean forward until you feel the heat of the towel on your neck. Stay in this position for about five minutes or as long as it feels comfortable.
